It all started with a logo drawn on a sticky note.  Simple and strong.  The calling wilderness of the mountains, and the guiding light of the star.  From that drawing an idea was born, we knew we were onto something.

We wrote our mission statement: The Mantra, and found our rally cry, "No Excuses Just Adventure" and soon that sketch on a sticky note became NorthEast Exploration Co.

The idea was to create comfortable outdoor inspired apparel for any activities or passion.  To us it did not matter what you were into as long as you were living life to the fullest and getting outside.

We wanted to showcase our home state of Maine, and rugged beauty of the north east.  We wanted to make apparel for all walks of life, suited for any occasion.  From a Saturday at a local brewery to a weekend camping trip, from the coast to the country,  the  trail to the lake, we wanted to be ready for anything.   We called it an exploration company because we are all explorers, looking for adventure, seeking to be the best we can be.

We believe it is the journey that is important, not the destination.
